Fowl Play on the Chicken Road Slots

The Chicken Road slots game is a far cry from your average farm-themed video slot machine. This 5-reel, 3-row game brings an exciting adventure to the table with its intriguing theme and unique gameplay mechanics.

Game Overview and Theme

Chicken Road takes place in what appears to be rural Chicken Road Africa or Asia – it’s difficult to pinpoint exactly where, given the eclectic mix of animals present. The landscape stretches out before you, with towering trees framing a winding dirt path that leads directly into the heart of this fowl-filled world.

The game centers around a family of anthropomorphic chickens and their efforts to survive in an unforgiving environment. Each bird has its own distinct personality and mannerisms – from the rugged father figure who will stop at nothing to protect his kin, to the quirky little sister who seems more interested in dancing than scavenging for food.

Design

The game’s aesthetic is one of striking contrasts, with vibrant colors splashed across a stunning African sunset backdrop. The 3D graphics are top-notch and bring an extra layer of realism to the proceedings, from the way light dances through the trees’ leafy canopies to the textured appearance of our fine-feathered friends.

All icons – except for the scatter symbol (more on that in due course) – fall within one of three categories: main characters, food sources, and natural features. It’s refreshing to see a game avoid over-reliance on generic fruits or card suits, opting instead for a more immersive environment.

Symbols

As mentioned earlier, there are two broad types of symbols found throughout Chicken Road:

  • Main Characters: Represented by each member of the chicken family – Mother Cluck Norris, Father Fowlbert, Brother Beaky and Sister Chirpy.
  • Food Sources: Icons feature various fruits, vegetables, seeds, eggs, as well as honey; some offer bigger payouts than others.

The game’s Wild Symbol is denoted by a stylized image of an eggplant – quite literally the ‘egg-cellent’ wild.
